Voltex Hawkeye STi @ BAM 2018

Having lived in the Bay Area for a good 5 or so years now, there are builds that I’ve grown accustom to seeing over this period of time whether it’s at local shows, at the track, or just roaming around on the streets. Some of these builds come and go, and some just stay relatively unchanged for the most part… which is not such a bad thing I suppose. But then there are those few that transcends the norm, the ones that elevate their build over time… the ones that are patient, and most importantly, stride for perfection.

“Perfection”….. that’s definitely not a word to be thrown around lightly, but in a world of many imperfections, I think this Hawkeye STi definitely warrants a distinction that’s equivalent to near perfect.

The first time I saw this car was probably 4 or 5 years ago, and since then I’ve seen this build go from a pretty mild Subaru to what it is today. I’ll post a few re-edited photos of the old look on the bottom of this post if you guys are interested in checking it out.

The look here is certainly “Time Attack-esque,” but whether it actually sees track time is a mystery to me… Truth be told, I’ve never met the owner before so what I write is merely what I see, but perhaps in the future I’ll get a chance to chat with him.

This car used to have those ever-popular Karlton Flares, but it has since been upgraded to Voltex pieces… pretty good upgrade if you ask me.

TE37 is always a good look no matter what.

A pair of rare Prodrive Racing Emotion-R Kevlar buckets highlight the caged interior.

A couple more shots to finish off this post…

Oh, but wait… almost forgot the re-edited shots…

Pretty drastic changes don’t you think? Although, they are good changes though. Hope you guys enjoyed this post! I’ll probably have another post up that’s similar to this one in a couple days. Stay tuned!
