Another year, another great event in Wekfest San Jose. And like previous years, this one was filled with nothing but the best. However, as I walked further into the venue, I did notice a lot of empty space that were still available, perhaps there were quite a bit of no shows. Either way, I thoroughly enjoyed the show and there were a huge diversity of cars from the VIPS, to the track cars, and of course the stanced and street driven cars. Personally, I’m a huge fan of the everyday street builds because we can connect to them on a more personal level, and we can learn from the builds from shows that may or may not help with our own builds.
With that said, here’s the first batch of my coverage. Unfortunately, I didn’t get shots of all the cars there even though I entered the show early with the media group. I was expecting the doors to open at 1 but they opened the doors too early and I was pressed for time and had to fight the crowd to get some half decent shots.
The Liberty Walk crew were in full swing, but more on this later.
A few of my favorite subies in the show including my buddy Chris’ 1st Place RHD bugeye.
The now FAMOUS Rocket Bunny GTR… again, more on this later.
Down the first row of cars…
I absolutely LOVED this Voltex Evo!
This subie was on point!
My buddy Erik’s fully built with the whole nine yards Civic that also placed.
These two were flawless inside and out!
Stay tuned for the second part of my coverage up soon!
